WHO IS DORI?

Dorian White has helped thousands of men and women around the world improve their scalp and hair health! Back in 2020 while she was a government Research Scientist, she embarked on her own healthy hair journey. She began with switching up her haircare bottles which tremendously improved the health of her scalp and hair. This inspired her to look deeper into how certain ingredients impact the scalp and hair. She uses her decade+ of scientific research experience and background in writing scientific literature to sort through peer-reviewed clinical studies and educate herself on the current science behind hair and scalp health, haircare ingredients, and hair growth. Although a tedious hobby, Dorian states “I wouldn’t have it any other way! When I want to know the truth about something, regardless of what the topic is, I’m the type of person to dive 110% in. And especially when it comes to hair science, I’m such a nerd and love being everyone’s go-to for haircare science answers!”​

She has since earned multiple certifications through the United States Trichology Institute including becoming a Certified Trichologist and Hair Loss Practitioner. She formally established her LLC in 2022 has been working 1-on-1 with hair loss clients to find the root cause of their thinning and work on improvements together. This is in additional to her 220+ international Monat haircare clients!

 

But her entrepreneurship spirit doesn’t end there! In her free time she also does high ticket sales, mentors other entrepreneurs, and her and her husband are prepping for their first child, coming March 2025!

 

Trichology (the study of hair and scalp) is a newer yet growing field, with Dorian being a leading expert in the space. But Dorian does things very differently than most trichologists: she operates a 100% virtual business!

Dorian has developed over a dozen hair-related digital products and services ranging from downloadable guides, to a 60-day Healthy Hair Challenge, to virtual zoom Consultations. She states “technology has come so far, and as far as scalp and hair health go there’s just no reason to be overcharging people for in-person services when it’s not needed. We can utilize virtual scalp scoping, LLLT helmets, and customized solutions from afar nowadays. This not only allows me as the businesses owner the flexibility of working from home, but it also saves my clients hundreds to thousands of dollars each year! It’s a win-win!”

After just three years of running her business on the side of her 9-to-5 as a Research Scientist she stepped away and is now focusing primarily on her hair business. She is currently developing a haircare education course in partnership with the United States Trichology Institute to educate hairstylists and haircare educators on scalp health and haircare ingredients.

 

Dorian utilizes social media for her marketing efforts (all organic posts), with over 140,000 followers across all platforms. She says “social media is by far the greatest tool of the century for small business owners like myself to be able to reach their targeted audience.” She has been using primarily Instagram and TikTok to reach millions of people all over the world and help educate them on healthy hair science. 

 

She says that she is proud to help combat misinformation that spreads like wildfire on social media, stating “Although my content might not be as catchy or fear-mongering as some other accounts, resulting in lower views, I’m okay with that because in the end of the day I will always put my values of truth and genuinely wanting to help others first. If my video helps just ONE person improve their hair/scalp health, I can sleep well at night.”
